Bryan Johnson uses a dry, Finnish-style sauna at 200°F and says infrared saunas don't get hot enough. A 2-3 person Canadian fir sauna with a 3kW stone heater, listed to reach 194°F.
Reasons to Choose It
- A stone heater is the traditional type his post asks for; it runs dry unless you pour water on the stones, so the "steam" in the listing title is optional.
- Its listed 194°F clears his 176°F minimum but falls a little short of the 200°F he uses.
- It costs about a quarter of the Plunge sauna Blueprint sells, and comes with a thermometer, hygrometer and sand timer.
Worth Knowing
- It needs a 240V circuit, which usually means an electrician; check your panel before you buy.
- It is fir, not the cedar his own sauna uses, and his post does not test or name any Amazon sauna.
- Very hot sauna is not safe for everyone; check with a clinician if you have heart or blood pressure problems or are pregnant.

Does Bryan Johnson use an infrared sauna?
