Bryan Johnson's protocol names Apple among the wearables he calls great, alongside Oura, Whoop, and Garmin. Apple's 2026 watch tracks sleep, heart rate, and HRV, with overnight Vitals.
Reasons to Choose It
- His key nightly number is heart rate before sleep, which his April 2026 post says to check in your wearable's app.
- Apple's health tracking does not need a separate monthly membership, unlike Oura and Whoop.
- It doubles as a workout tracker for the zone 2 and high-intensity targets in his exercise protocol.
Worth Knowing
- It needs an iPhone, and it needs charging most days, so plan when to charge it if you want overnight data.
- The 42mm Series 12 costs less; the model linked here is the 46mm GPS version.
