Bryan Johnson's Standing Desk: His Sit-Stand Routine and Walking Breaks (2026)

By ProtocolPicksPublished

What Bryan Johnson's protocol says about his desk and his workday movement, the Poppin desk linked to his videos, a larger and cheaper electric desk, and an under-desk walking pad for his every-30-minutes walking breaks. Scope: This summarizes his published protocol and videos. It is not medical or ergonomic advice.

What the sources show

His routine: rotate positions and move every 30 minutes

His January 2026 daily routine says his desk and chair are set up so he can rotate between sitting and standing while keeping good posture. Standing all day is not the point. The same routine adds: About 2-3 minutes of light activity every 30 minutes from 10 am to 7:30 pm, such as walking, bodyweight exercises or stretchingA 10-minute walk in the morning, before focused workA 10-minute walk outside in the evening His exercise tips repeat the rule for everyone else: every 30 minutes, get up from your desk and move around a bit.

The desk linked to his videos: Poppin Series L 2S

The Poppin Series L 2S ($529.00 on Amazon when we checked in October 2026) is the desk linked to the work section of his 2025 protocol video and a minimalist office short. It has a 47-inch walnut top on electric legs that adjust from about 29 to 48 inches. His 2026 protocol does not name a desk, so it is not confirmed as his current one. The listing showed low stock when we checked.

A bigger desk for less: FLEXISPOT 71"

The FLEXISPOT 71 x 32-inch desk ($339.99 on Amazon when we checked in October 2026) is the same type of electric sit-stand desk with a similar walnut look. It has dual motors, a 198 lb weight limit and a height range of about 29 to 46.5 inches. The wider top fits two monitors, where the 47-inch Poppin suits one screen and a laptop. If you are over about 6'3", check that 46.5 inches reaches your standing elbow height. It is our pick by type, not his desk.

Walking breaks without leaving the desk

His breaks are short and frequent, and walking is the first example he gives. If stepping outside every half hour is not realistic, an under-desk walking pad under a standing desk is one way to do it. The WalkingPad P1 ($349.00 on Amazon when we checked in October 2026) runs from 0.5 to 3.75 mph, has a 16.5-inch belt and folds in half for storage. Its weight limit is 100 kg (about 220 lb). His protocol does not mention a walking pad. This is our suggestion for his walking breaks, not something he uses.

Raise the laptop screen

The Lamicall aluminum stand ($32.99) is linked to his workspace setup video and lifts a 10 to 17.3-inch laptop closer to eye level. Pair it with a separate keyboard and mouse. His 2026 protocol does not list desk gear, so current use is not confirmed.

What the sources do not show

His protocol names no desk, chair or walking pad, and gives no target for how long to stand. None of the sources compares desks or measures any of these products. The movement rule matters more than the furniture: a sit-stand desk only helps if you actually change position and get up every half hour.
