Bryan Johnson's Skincare Protocol: AM & PM Routine

Bryan Johnson's Skincare Protocol: AM & PM Routine

Bryan Johnson's complete skincare protocol for reversing skin aging. When he started Blueprint, his skin was in the 98th percentile for damage with a skin age of 64. Now his skin age has improved to 36. Disclaimer: This guide is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Consult with a dermatologist before starting any new skincare routine.

Protocol Steps

1

Get Morning Sunlight (Before 10 AM)

15-30 mins
Get sunlight early in the mornings and later in the afternoons. Avoid direct sun exposure when the UV index is high (10 AM to 4 PM). Early morning sun supports vitamin D production and circadian rhythm without excessive UV damage.
3

Vitamin C Serum (AM)

1 min
Apply vitamin C serum after cleansing. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that protects against UV damage, brightens skin, and supports collagen production.
4

Moisturizer (AM & PM)

1 min
Apply moisturizer to lock in hydration and protect the skin barrier. Use a fragrance-free, sensitive-skin formula. Apply morning and evening.
5

Mineral Sunscreen (AM, if going outdoors)

1 min
Apply mineral (zinc oxide) sunscreen SPF 46+ when going outdoors during high UV times. Mineral sunscreen sits on top of skin and reflects UV rays rather than being absorbed. Reapply every 2 hours if in direct sun.
6

Body Exfoliation (2-3x per week)

5 mins
Exfoliate the body 2-3 times per week using a Japanese exfoliating washcloth or African net sponge. This removes dead skin cells and promotes cell turnover.
7

Retinol Serum (PM Only)

1 min
Apply retinol serum in the evening only (retinol increases sun sensitivity). Retinol promotes cell turnover, reduces fine lines, and improves skin texture. Start slowly and build tolerance.
8

OneSkin OS-01 Peptide (AM & PM)

2 mins
Apply OneSkin's OS-01 peptide to face and body. OS-01 is a proprietary peptide shown in studies to reduce biological skin age by targeting senescent cells.
